Don and Holly Burmania

Owners

In 2015, Don and Holly Burmania stepped in to help a close friend who became partially disabled after a stroke. With no family in Colorado, their friend moved into their home after rehab, where Don and Holly arranged overnight home health care. They later found an assisted living facility that suited her needs and coordinated her move. As she became more independent, they helped her transition to an independent living facility and continue to provide her with ongoing support. This experience made Don and Holly realize that many others face similar challenges without a support system, inspiring them to purchase Care Management Advocates (CMA) in September 2019 from Debera and John Bartlett-Powers, the original founders. The Powers sought buyers who shared their compassion and had a strong management background, and Don and Holly fit that vision perfectly. Don has an extensive background in public service worked as a regulator for the State of Colorado for 23 years, retiring as the director of the Liquor and Tobacco Enforcement Division.
